A Free Medical Clinic was conducted on 25 March 2026 at Khamrang village, with support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The initiative aimed to bring essential healthcare services closer to communities with limited access to medical facilities.
The clinic was led by Dr. C.K. Lalfakawmi (MBBS), with valuable assistance from MFM Nursing Students, who played an important role in managing patient flow, assisting during examinations, and ensuring the smooth coordination of the programme.
Approximately 80 patients received medical attention during the outreach. Residents from the village and nearby areas presented with a variety of health concerns, all of which were attended to with care and professionalism. Essential medicines were distributed free of charge, helping to reduce the financial burden on beneficiaries.
The combined efforts of trained medical personnel and dedicated nursing students ensured that services were delivered efficiently and with compassion. In addition to providing treatment, the clinic also promoted awareness on the importance of seeking timely medical care.
This outreach highlights the ongoing effort to expand access to basic healthcare services in rural areas, contributing to improved community health and well-being.
