On 21st March 2026, a Free Medical Clinic was successfully organized at Rulchawm Village, with financial support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The initiative aimed to improve access to essential healthcare services for residents in a remote and underserved area.
The programme commenced with an invocation led by Upa C. Ropianga, who offered a prayer dedicating the clinic to God and seeking blessings for the well-being of all attendees. The spiritual opening set a compassionate and hopeful tone for the event, emphasizing both physical healing and holistic care.
The clinic was conducted with the support of two experienced medical professionals:
Dr. Rualthankhuma Renthlei, ENT Specialist
Dr. C.K. Lalfakawmi, MBBS
During the programme, approximately 150 patients were attended to, presenting a wide range of health concerns. Each patient received careful medical examination, professional consultation, and appropriate treatment. Essential medicines were distributed free of cost, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds could access necessary healthcare without financial constraints.
In addition to the planned services, the team responded promptly to an unexpected emergency. A child who sustained an accidental injury during the clinic was immediately attended to, and first aid was administered on-site, ensuring timely care and preventing further complications.
The successful implementation of the medical outreach highlights the importance of sustained efforts in delivering accessible and inclusive healthcare services to rural communities. Such initiatives continue to play a vital role in promoting the overall health and well-being of the population.
