(English Version)

Three GDA students selected to work as caregivers in Kobe, Japan, were officially sent off from the office of LESDE Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar. Minister Lalnghinglova emphasized the importance of preparing workers who are ready for employment in Japan, noting that Japan still has a high demand for workers. He stated that this continued demand presents a good opportunity for Mizo youth. He also mentioned that several individuals from Mizoram have already gone to Japan for work, and more are expected to follow.

LESDE Director Pu John Tanpuia also addressed the gathering, stating that the Japanese government has actively opened various avenues to collaborate with the Indian government. He highlighted that there is a high demand for workers from the Northeast region, and that Japan will continue to be a favorable destination for Mizo youth seeking employment.

Under the collaborative framework of the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) agreement between the governments of India and Japan, Kobe International University in Japan and Mission Foundation Movement have implemented a Japanese Language course. In this program, students are trained up to the Japanese Language Proficiency Level N4. Upon completion of the course, and after receiving their Certificate of Eligibility from the Ministry of Justice, Government of Japan, they are granted working visas to travel to Japan as caregivers.

This current group marks the second batch to travel to Japan. Under the agreement between MFM and the Japanese government, more than 24 individuals who have completed the Caregiver Nursing course have already been employed in Japan.
