GBV-SOLVE PROJECT: SCHOOL-BASED AWARENESS SESSIONS ON GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
News | May 15, 2026
As part of GBV-Solve Project, Mission Foundation Movement (MFM) has been conducting Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness sessions in various schools to promote safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environments for children and adolescents.
These sessions aim to equip students with age-appropriate knowledge on understanding different forms of gender-based violence, recognizing harmful behaviors, promoting gender equality, and encouraging healthy relationships built on mutual respect and dignity. Students are also sensitized on the importance of speaking up, seeking help from trusted adults, and supporting peers who may be experiencing violence or abuse.
The interactive sessions include discussions, practical examples, and activities that encourage active participation and help students build confidence in identifying and responding to situations that may compromise their safety and well-being.
Through this initiative, GBV-Solve Project seeks to empower young people to become advocates for positive change and contribute to creating safer school communities where every child can learn and thrive without fear of violence or discrimination.
Mission Foundation Movement remains committed to strengthening awareness and prevention efforts in partnership with schools, communities, and stakeholders to foster a culture of respect, equality, and protection for all.
