News  |  September 15, 2025

15th September, 2025

Completion certificates were awarded to those who had undergone training in Assistant Electrician and Aluminium Fabrication at Hulhliap Short Stay by Dr. K.C. Lalmalsawmzauva, Adviser to the Chief Minister.

The programme was chaired by Pu Malsawmzuala Ralte, Chairman of the Mizoram Youth Commission & Chairman of the Core Committee on Hulhliap-SSC, while Pu Lalramchuanzela, Executive Director, Mission Foundation Movement (MFM), presented the training report.

The Government had organised this Special Skill Development Training for those who had successfully completed Hulhliap Short Stay.

The training was conducted at the MFM Skill Centre, Dawrpui Vengthar. For Aluminium Fabrication training, 28 trainees enrolled, of which 17 successfully completed. For Assistant Electrician training, 34 trainees enrolled, of which 28 successfully completed, making a total of 45 who completed the programme successfully.

Since the trainees belonged to the Special Category, the programme was carried out under the RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) scheme, following the PMKVY 3.0 norms under the Skill India Mission. Along with theory and practical training, counselling and soft skills training were also provided.

The Chief Guest, Dr. K.C. Lalmalsawmzauva, in his address, expressed hope for their future progress. He emphasised that they should become a source of support for their families, especially wives and children, rather than a cause of hardship for others. He urged them to continue building on what they had learned with sincerity and hard work, and assured that the Government’s handholding policy would continue to support their path forward.

The certificates were distributed by the LESDE Department.

The programme concluded with remarks from Pu Lalnunhlua, Additional Secretary, SW&WCD & Convener, Task Group on Aftercare, Skill Training & Handholding, Hulhliap-SSC.
