In response to the evolving socio-economic landscape of the country, an increasing number of women are venturing beyond their homes in pursuit of employment opportunities in bustling urban centers as well as industrial clusters situated in both urban and rural settings. Amidst this transformative journey, a significant challenge encountered by these women is the scarcity of secure and conveniently located accommodation. Recognizing this pressing need, MFM has undertaken the initiative of establishing a Working Women Hostel in Durtlang.
The primary objective behind this venture is to facilitate the provision of safe and conveniently situated lodging for working women, a facility that also incorporates daycare services for their children. This hostel has been made possible through Ministry of Women and Child, Government of India. The hostel is designed to accommodate up to 100 residents, coupled with the provision of a Day Care Centre capable of catering to 30 children.
The beneficiaries of this thoughtful initiative encompass a diverse group of individuals, including single, widowed, divorced, and separated women, as well as married individuals whose husbands or immediate family members do not reside in the same city or area. Additionally, the hostel welcomes women currently undergoing training for employment and extends its support to girls up to the age of 18 years, along with boys up to the age of 5 years who accompany their mothers.
In crafting this haven for working women, MFM strives to address not just the physical accommodation needs but also the broader spectrum of challenges that these women face. The Working Women Hostel at Durtlang stands as a beacon of empowerment, providing a secure space where women can thrive professionally while ensuring the well-being of their children. This initiative epitomizes a harmonious blend of vision, compassion, and practicality, contributing significantly to the upliftment of women in our society.
