Rural Livelihhod Programme: Start Up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP)
Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP), a pivotal sub-component of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) under the Ministry of Rural Development, is making significant strides in empowering rural entrepreneurs. With a core focus on uplifting individuals in rural areas, SVEP endeavors to facilitate the establishment of local enterprises, ultimately aiding the rural poor in breaking free from the shackles of poverty.
This innovative program operates as a comprehensive intervention, addressing the critical missing elements in the entrepreneurial ecosystem: knowledge, advisory, and financial support. By bridging these gaps, SVEP aims to empower entrepreneurs and provide sustained assistance until their enterprises achieve stability.
Since becoming an empanelled Project Implementing Agency (PIA) in 2019, we have diligently undertaken the implementation of SVEP. Our efforts have been dedicated to covering the entire district of Kolasib, reaching out to and impacting the lives of as many as 800 target beneficiaries. Through targeted interventions and support mechanisms, we are committed to fostering a conducive environment for entrepreneurship to thrive in rural areas.
As we continue to implement SVEP, our mission is not just to establish enterprises but to facilitate sustainable growth and development. By empowering individuals at the grassroots level, we contribute to the larger goal of rural economic empowerment and poverty alleviation. We look forward to witnessing the positive transformations and success stories that emerge from our collective efforts in building a vibrant and self-reliant rural economy.
