Community Development Programme (CDP)
Community Development Programme (CDP) has been launched from 2016 in collaboration with North East Rural Livelihood Projects (NERLP), Ministry of DoNER. The project covered 3 RD Blocks of Aizawl District i.e., Tlangnuam, Phullen and Aibawk RD Blocks. The objective of the project is to improve rural livelihood especially that of women, unemployed youth and disadvantaged groups of the society.
665 Self Help Group (SHG’s), 40 Community Development Group (CDG) and 40 Federation have been established in 40 villages of 3 RD Block of Aizawl District. With this programme the people benefited enormously in the field of agriculture, farming and animal husbandry. It also promotes development in terms of water and sanitation while sustaining their livelihood.
