News | April 01, 2026
On April 1, 2026, the Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the Mission Foundation Movement, organized a certificate distribution programme for 120 trainees who completed the Geriatric Caregiver course. The programme was held across four districts—Champhai, Lunglei, Mamit, and Saitual. In each district, officials from the Social Welfare Department led the programme, followed by a brief report presentation from the Mission Foundation Movement. It was highlighted that the Geriatric Caregiver training in these four districts was conducted in two shifts, making it flexible and accessible. This arrangement allowed even college students to participate conveniently, without facing major difficulties, and successfully complete their theory, practical classes, and examinations, which was highly appreciated. Distinguished guests attended the programme in each district:
* In Mamit, Er. H. Lalzirliana, MLA, attended as the chief guest. * In Lunglei, Pu T. Lalhmingliana, MLA, was the chief guest. * In Saitual, Additional DC, Pu Lallawmawma attended as the chief guest. * In Champhai, MUP Vice President H. Lalzova attended as the chief guest.
The chief guests expressed their appreciation for organizing such a meaningful programme for the youth and encouraged the trainees with inspiring words.
