Session on ‘Importance of Environmental Impact Assessment EIA’

Mobius Young Professionals, MFM, organized an awareness session on ‘Importance of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)’ on February 25, 2026.The session aimed to enhance understanding of environmental safeguards and the role of EIA in sustainable development and policy planning.

Dr. Gospel Lallawmzuali, MYP, served as the resource person for the programme. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and has extensive academic and field-based experience in environmental assessment, conservation, and sustainable resource management.

Her expertise greatly enriched the session with practical insights on environmental sustainability.

During the session, she explained the concept, objectives, and legal significance of Environmental Impact Assessment, highlighting its importance in minimizing adverse environmental impacts of developmental projects. She emphasized how EIA helps balance economic growth with environmental.
