LAITHANGPUII COLLEGE OF PHARMACY CELEBRATES ITS 10TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

Laithangpuii College of Pharmacy held its 10th Graduation Ceremony on 6 February 2026 at the MFM Complex, Durtlang. The programme was graced by Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga, MLA and Adviser to the Chief Minister (Finance & Planning) as the Chief Guest, while Pi C. Ramdinmawii, Deputy Director, Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), Directorate of Health Services (DHS) attended as the Guest of Honour.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Pu Lalramchhuanzela, Executive Director, Mission Foundation Movement (MFM). This was followed by an invocation and dedication of the programme by Upa Lalthuama, MFM Board Member.
During the ceremony, Pi Lalchhuanmawii, Principal, Laithangpuii College of Pharmacy, presented the academic report. She informed that out of 57 students, 54 successfully graduated, with 9 students securing positions in the Top 10. A total of 19 students passed with Distinction, while 35 students passed with First Division, achieving an overall pass percentage of 94.7%.
The Guest of Honour, Pi C. Ramdinmawii, administered the Oath Taking Ceremony to the graduating students. In her address, she highlighted the responsibilities and ethical obligations of pharmacy professionals, emphasizing the importance of diligence, integrity, and adherence to legal and professional standards, as their work directly impacts public health and human life.
Following the oath-taking, Upa Lalthangmawia, MFM Board Member, offered a prayer dedicating the graduating students to God. The ceremony also included the presentation of Proficiency Awards by the Chief Guest.
In his address, Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga encouraged the graduates and parents to value both rights and responsibilities equally. He urged the graduating students to work with dedication and continuous learning, especially in an era increasingly influenced by Artificial Intelligence (AI), to ensure their skills remain relevant and valuable. He also highlighted the expanding scope of the healthcare sector in Mizoram, noting the promising career prospects for pharmacy graduates. He further emphasized the importance of using one’s knowledge and skills for the welfare of the people and the betterment of society.
Laithangpuii College of Pharmacy was established in 2014 and is affiliated with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Since its inception, 417 students have completed the D.Pharm programme, and the college currently has 120 students enrolled. Graduates of the institution are serving in various sectors, including Primary Health Centres (PHCs), hospitals, the armed forces, and even International placements in Japan. Many alumni have also successfully ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing pharmacy outlets, contributing meaningfully to the healthcare system.
