One-day Workshop on 'Climate Future of Mizoram' held at ATI Auditorium, MINECO.

Organized by Laltharate Unau Foundation (LUF), Mission Foundation Movement (MFM) and Mobius Foundation on 25th September 2026. Chief Guest was Pu Lalthansanga, Minister, Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
Key Highlights:
- Welcome address by Pu R. Vanlalzauva, Director, MFM.
- Followed by Pu. Lalthara, Founder, LUF, presented their objectives.
- Minister's speech: Praised MFM's work, said the Department and the state need restructuring. Advised students to follow "Simple Living, High Thinking" as motto. Stressed need to protect forests and co-exist with wildlife, and said climate action needs moisture conservation beyond soil conservation. Mentioned collaboration with Green Mission International and other groups.
- Technical Sessions:
- Pu Andrew Lalthlamuana, Asst. Conservator of Forest - on current and future impacts of climate change in Mizoram.
- Dr. Lalhlimpuii, Mizoram Christian College - on traditional Mizo practices useful for fighting climate change.
- Dr. F. Lalnunmawia, Mizoram University - on sustainable livelihoods to cope with climate change.
- 4 persons previously awarded by LUF for environmental work also spoke.
The program ended with a pledge by all participants to protect the environment and a vote of thanks by Pu Lalthangmawia, Chairman, MFM Board.
Attendees: Members of various environmental groups, church youth, student unions, university & college students and scholars.
