K. Lalchhanhima was born on July 26, 1986, in Aizawl, Mizoram. In 2009, he earned a MA degree from the North Eastern Hill University, Meghalaya followed by LLB degree from Mizoram Law College, Mizoram in 2012. He is currently a practising lawyer in Aizawl, Mizoram. From the year 2008 to 2012, he worked as a Guest Lecturer at Govt. Hrangbana College, Aizawl, Mizoram. He also worked as a part time Guest Lecturer, teaching the subject of History and Law at Indira Gandhi National Open University since 2008, the position he continues to hold till date.
