Skill Development Training Programme For Unemployed Youth
HSBC Skills for Life represents a five-year commitment by HSBC India, focusing on the crucial aspects of employment and entrepreneurship-linked skill development for disadvantaged youth. Within the framework of this program, HSBC and the Swades Foundation have entered into a significant five-year partnership, with the aim of directly skilling numerous disadvantaged youth across the country and, in turn, inspiring and impacting many others indirectly.
The primary objective of this initiative is to tackle poverty and inequality through the powerful tool of skill development. Recognizing the transformative potential of education and livelihood opportunities, HSBC, in collaboration with the Swades Foundation, has taken significant strides towards providing access to these opportunities, especially for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As part of this broader effort, MFM has been selected as a Training Provider (TP) in 2017, aligning with the central focus of the project. The training provided by MFM is in General Duty Assistant (GDA) within the healthcare sector. This strategic choice aims to enhance the capacities of both rural and urban disadvantaged young women, equipping them with the skills needed to improve their livelihood potential and create employment opportunities.
Currently operating from our center in Aizawl, MFM has set ambitious targets, aiming to benefit 360 target beneficiaries. Through HSBC Skills for Life initiative, MFM is playing a crucial role in contributing to the empowerment and upliftment of disadvantaged youth, providing them with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a more promising future.
