Skill Development Training Programme For Unemployed Youth
HSBC Skills for Life is a five year commitment by HSBC India that will focus on employment and entrepreneurship-linked skill development of disadvantaged youth. Under the umbrella of this programme, the Bank and Swades Foundation have forged a five-year partnership that will directly skill many thousand disadvantaged youth across the country and indirectly impact and inspire many others.
With the aim to reduce poverty and inequality, HSBC Swadesh Foundation come up with the most powerful instrument: skill development. HSBC started an initiative to provide access to education and livelihood, particularly for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. In line with the central focus of the project, MFM is selected as a Training Provider (TP) since 2017. We imparted training in General Duty Assistant (GDA), Healtcare Sector to enhance capacities of rural and urban disadvantaged young women to improve their livelihood potential and provide employment opportunities. Currently, we have our centre at Aizawl with 360 target beneficiaries.
