Geriatric Caregiver Course, initiated in 2022 under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, represents a pivotal step towards addressing the unique needs of our aging population. This course welcomes individuals who have completed 10th standard and are enthusiastic about embarking on a career as caregivers in Geriatric Homes.
Participants in this program are presented with an opportunity to cultivate specialized skills and knowledge crucial for providing compassionate and effective care to the elderly. The course is meticulously designed to cover a spectrum of topics relevant to geriatric care, ensuring that caregivers are well-equipped to handle the diverse challenges associated with the well-being of the elderly.
Practical exposure forms an integral part of this course, with candidates being placed in various hospitals. This hands-on experience allows participants to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world caregiving settings, fostering a comprehensive and practical understanding of geriatric care.
