The organization actively engages in various relief programs, including addressing crises such as the Mautam tam (Bamboo Famine), which occurs every 50 years in Mizoram. Playing a proactive role in relief and development projects across the region, the organization demonstrated its commitment during the 2006 Mautam, a bamboo famine, where numerous farming communities faced severe challenges in harvesting their crops. In response, we distributed food grains and essential supplies to 60 villages, benefiting approximately 1000 families in the Lunglei District.
Furthermore, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic impacting Mizoram, our Relief and Development (R&D) team was dispatched to 20 villages, covering over 700 families across Aizawl, Lunglei, Kolasib, and Mamit Districts. The focus was on distributing food supplies to those in need. Additionally, several of our trainees voluntarily stepped up as Covid Frontline Warriors, serving at various locations in and around Aizawl city. This multifaceted approach underscores our commitment to providing timely assistance and support during critical times, whether caused by natural disasters or public health crises.
