Mission Foundation Movement in collaboration with Nations Carey's Patch distributed food items to Myanmar Refugees at Durtlang Refugee Camp. The camp is three kms away from MFM main office and the building where they currently live was donated by Mr. Vanlalrinmawia from Saron Veng Aizawl.
There are 48 people living at the camp at the time of the visit. There are 14 children and 2 people above 60 years of age. There is one person who is currently hospitalized but there are no other serious illness at the camp according to Rev. Malsawmi. The Local Presbyterian Church had given daily labour jobs to the able young persons at the camp. The children are attending schools nearby with the local children and are mingling well with them according to Rev. Malsawmi.
Food is still the biggest concern as they are heavily dependent on donations. Water connection is not available so they have already bought two water tanks from their own money. MFM Director R. Vanlalzauva had a short speech at the camp and concluded with a prayer. Rev. Malsawmi had a few words of appreciation for MFM and Nations Carey's Patch and gave a short report on their situation.
